MEETING MANAGEMENT

Methods (not gimmicks) exist that guarantee a meeting will stay on track and on time. Instead of trying to manage participation you learn how to facilitate focus. You can expect higher quality participation, increased ownership of results and a growing, ongoing sense of accomplishment.

Who Should Attend?
Managers, supervisors, team leaders, intact teams. This course will assist teams in their start up phase and will serve as a healthy refresher for mature teams. It is designed with checklist users in mind.

What Skills Will They Learn?
– Prepare for meetings by setting outcomes with sensory-based evidence -- what specifically will your see, hear and feel that will indicate you've achieved the results you want?
– Bring participants to a meeting prepared to focus and contribute
– Present your outcome(s) visually, supported by compelling see, hear and feel evidence
– Gain agreement from each participant on meeting outcomes -- and what to do if you don't
– Sharpen your awareness of verbal and non-verbal cues during meetings
– Skillfully encourage and maintain relevant focus without personality clashes
– Interpret meeting results against outcomes
– Get participants to suggest ways to improve meeting effectiveness (through ownership of meeting outcomes)
– Generate next steps that are accomplished on time
